Michael Jackson and the Chiron Return

Throughout a lifetime an individual will go through several key life passages, which are ultimately designed to help an individual progress in consciousness and connect to Spirit. These three main passages are astrologically described as the Saturn Return (when Saturn returns to itsoriginal point in the birth chart) at approximately age 29, the Uranus Opposition around ages 38-42, and the Chiron Return (Chiron returns to its birth position) at 50. These powerful initiations put pressure on the personality to resolve issues of ego, allowing greater spiritual connection.
When confronted with these pressures, the personality can do one of two things: face it or avoid it at all cost. Michael Jackson was at one such initiation point, the Chiron Return.
Chiron is the “Wounded Healer” in mythology, and it's placement in the birth chart represents the type of “wounding” an individual has chosen for a lifetime. Before coming into a body, the soul will choose imprinters, mostly parents, who will assist in providing the adequate imprinting to create the “wound.” Therefore, childhood experiences become the key to discovering the wound. For example, if a soul wants to resolve addiction issues, it may chose to be born into a family of alcoholics, thus getting the perfect "wound" to be able to work on its project. An advanced soul will overcome the wound and then help others overcome their addictions, transmuting the wound into a gift.

From the Michael Teaching perspective, Jackson was a 5th level Mature Artisan with a King essence twin. His personality had a Goal of Acceptance, Spiritualist Attitude, Passion Mode, and Chief Feature of Self-deprecation and Arrogance. He also had a very etheric, frail Solar/Neptune body type with high female energy. All of the above components indicate a personality who deeply wants to be loved and accepted, is extremely sensitive and gentle, and has a difficult time with confrontation and harshness. Artisans live to create, and Michael Jackson gave himself the gift of music and vision. His high level of sensitivity assisted his musical genius, but was also his greatest challenge.

When looking at an individual¹s life, the gender that is chosen is an important aspect for lessons and wounding. Because Michael had high female energy, he tended to identify with the feminine and reject his masculine side. We are not talking about his persona in music videos where he looks so macho, but his inner world. In his later years critics would comment that he looks more like a woman with each passing year. Choosing a male body meant Jackson wanted to work on his male archetypes and past life male issues.

Michael's main imprinter for male archetypes was his father, Joe Jackson. Joe demonstrates the classic wounded male; that is someone who is a cold, domineering, abusive, heartless perpetrator. Why would Michael choose such a situation? Because in many of Michael¹s past lives as an Infant, Baby and Young soul, Michael demonstrated such ruthlessness as a man. We all create karma, and it's normal and what this game is about. However, at a soul level, Michael rejects this aspect, which means he has not healed and forgiven himself. It’s like throwing the baby out with the bath water. “I will get rid of my male energy because it's bad.” Essentially, if you deny an aspect of yourself, you will manifest it in your outer world. Your denial” will be in your face. Ultimately, Michael needed to love and accept this shadow side instead of looking for acceptance elsewhere. Of course, it is much more complex than this, and there was definitely karma between Michael and his father.

The positive side of Joe Jackson was his driving energy to make The Jacksons a solid success. His concrete goals and objectives reflect the positive aspects of male energy. Just try to get anything accomplished with diffuse, unfocused female energy and you will understand. This part of Joe's imprint gave Michael the necessary tools to become a success when he went out on his own; that positive male energy was integrated into his high female system. So while Michael got the “bad,” he also got the “good.”

The trouble is Michael never really looked at his wounding. He distracted himself with opulence and fame. Spending his life avoiding the pain at the Neverland Ranch only attracted the same kind of male attacks in the form of lawsuits. His painful inner child looked to children for love and affection because of his distrust of “authority figures.” Michael's mother was complicit in his wounding because she did nothing to stop Joe from abusing the kids, which created a betrayal from the feminine.

While Michael's Overleaves were perfect for the talented musician creator that he was, they were too “soft” to overcome such a high level of pain. Remember, when we set up our lifetimes, we choose Overleaves on the Astral Plane we think will work, but may not work in real life. It's not until the late Mature/early Old levels that souls are experienced enough to choose Overleaves wisely. Had Michael had the Goal of Dominance or the Mode of Aggression, he might have been better able to overcome his problems.

Enter the Chiron Return and why Michael checked out. First, Michael spent a lifetime in denial, so he wasn't prepared to deal with his wounding at this time. To be completely healed, one has to be brutally honest with oneself, and that is something Michael was unable to do. Second, his chosen Overleaves didn¹t have the “muscle” to overcome his wounding even if hetried. Also, on a personality level, he was terrified of aging. He didn’t want to give up his “youth,” even if it did come from plastic surgery. Lastly, with three eclipses approaching, this would be a perfect time to release the body. He tried to avoid the Chiron Return with a world tour. However we believe it was an act of Self-destruction, or what some call a death wish, because he was pushing himself hard, not eating well and dealing with his “pain” with lots of drugs. In leaving the body, he liberated himself from the pain, but not from the lesson.

As a side note, Michael's essence twin is Diana Ross. They have been friends for a lifetime. She is the King and he's the Artisan. Together they are about mastery of creativity. She will be profoundly affected by his leaving.

Michael gave us so much. Let's give him thanks and a blessing and wish him safe journey.

Hi Holly! This is a good article, and probably the only comprehensive info I have seen on the web re: the Chiron Return. Thanks for writing it!

It's a shame we can't get an accurate birth-time on Michael Jackson! One thing that bothers me is, he was surrounded by lawsuits from every angle of his life (up to 1,200 according to one bio I just finished). Over-whelmed, this must have contributed to his drug use. Also it does not seem he could ever trust the people in his environment, from the time he was a kid. He was coached to fudge the truth about himself to the public, and he was also led to believe he was entitled to do so. In other words, I don't think he was ever at peace, unless it was to escape into fantasy. At the end of his life, even that was not enough.

Wishing you joy in these last days of summer!

Michael's birth time is 7.33pm.

Your article is a bit inaccurate in the part where you said Michael was terrified of aging. He had always thought himself ugly and thought that he could only be loved if he was beautiful. (His father's programming.) He was not afraid of aging per se, but of losing love. He had a bad experience in teenhood when he perceived that he fell out of favour with the public because he had grown up and become a pimply, gangly adult instead of the cute little boy whom everyone loved. He never got over it.

Really a terrific article on the Chiron Return, it reminded me of how painful and downcast it can cause a person to feel. But for those whose have dealt with the fear of death, as I understand it, the experience can be truly outstanding.

Thanks Holly,

Steve
